Bulls say Rose had no setbacks in return (AP)

Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau says star point guard Derrick Rose experienced no setbacks after returning from a back problem. He says Rose will play Wednesday against Milwaukee. Rose scored 23 points Monday in a win over Atlanta after missing the previous five games because of lower back pain. The Bulls did not practice on Tuesday.

Reigning MVP Derrick Rose is back in the Chicago Bulls’ lineup against the Atlanta Hawks after missing the previous five games because of lower back pain. Signs were pointing toward Rose playing Monday. He practiced Sunday, and coach Tom Thibodeau says he “didn’t have any problems.” The Bulls waited to see how Rose felt after pregame warmups before announcing he would play.
